The interface prioritizes simplicity and user-friendliness, allowing for easy access to features such as taking a new reading with a single button press, reversing the scale for drone usage, and locking the current reading, among others.

Employing advanced pitch detection algorithms tested across various drone and reed combinations, BeeFlat is specifically designed to accommodate the temperament and tonal qualities of bagpipes, distinguishing it as one of the most accurate tuners available for this instrument.

Users can configure settings to include an adjustable scale range and opt for readings that reflect either concert pitch (450 Hz) or actual pitch (480 Hz), along with solo temperament options. The adjustable sensitivity caters to the needs of different players, making BeeFlat suitable both for elite Grade One bands preparing for high-stakes performances at events like The World's and novice bands in their early training sessions.

Developed by Matt Fraser in Melbourne, Australia, BeeFlat benefits from Matt's extensive experience as a piper. Having lived in Scotland for five years, he played for the Inveraray and District Pipe Band and participated in various solo competitions, including the prestigious Silver Medal piobaireachd competitions at Oban and Inverness.
